To start, I would like to welcome you to Apex Fitness. This is a great step to kicking off your wellness journey and I am excited to be of part of your team.
As an integral part of your wellness, nutrition and food are essential for life. Making the changes needed to be healthier is a journey. It is not something that will happen overnight. Part of my philosophy toward living and eating healthier is not “diet” focused. I would prefer to focus on making healthier choices and changing the way food is approached in our lives. I truly believe that fresh, clean, healthy ingredients are the key to better nutrition.
There are many nutrition and diet related food myths out there, so I will address some of those in the articles to follow. We will focus on fitness related nutrition, how to optimize our activity and energy, and how to incorporate the healthy food needed to help with our wellness goals.
One of the reasons I became a dietitian was to help people. We are all different and have very different struggles. Some of us suffer from disease related health issues, while others struggle with incorporating healthy habits into a busy life- I hope to help you with all of those things, and everything in between. Like I said, life is a journey. We are always learning.
Winter is coming to an end and Spring is just beginning. It is great time of year to kick off some new goals. Hopefully,healthier foods and eating habits are one of them. I am delighted to be working with this great team and am looking forward to working with all of you.
